As a team of gardeners and outdoor enthusiasts, working with the Noxious Weed Control Board allowed us to help raise awareness and protect the natural plants and environments that make Washington so beautiful. Our website redesign brought together information about the board, their work, and education and awareness tools for the public.
August Creative developed a searchable database containing 140 noxious weeds found in Washington for the public to be able to identify plants they come across. Using location, leaves, flower color, and other identifying information, the public can search for plants they have questions about. The database identifies plants that might be a concern and provides recommendations for controlling weeds.
