2040 and Beyond is a transportation policy plan for all of Washington State that provides the overarching framework for the Department of Transportation and transportation departments statewide. The plan is based on the six statewide goals and recommendations established by the Washington State Legislature: economic vitality, mobility, preservation, environment and health, safety, and stewardship. We provided meeting facilitation and stakeholder engagement. The final web and graphic design products coordinated feedback from more than 20 transportation stakeholders across the state.
The final web and graphic design products coordinated feedback from more than 20 transportation stakeholders and is fully WCAG compliant. Our custom illustrations and infographics for the project capture the broad range of transportation and mobility modes throughout Washington. We wanted to create inclusive imagery that captured all the ways people walk, roll, commute, and explore our state. Working with the Transportation Commission and SCJ, we identified and worked to highlight mobility, public transportation, and commercial transportation. Our infographics took the complexities of a long-term transportation framework and made them accessible to people in communities across Washington. We designed the final website and legislative report.
